"Last of Us Season 4 Unlikely, Says Showrunner"
The Last of Us' highly acclaimed TV series has already been greenlit for a third season even before the second season's premiere. However, fans are eagerly wondering if a fourth season is on the horizon. Showrunner Craig Mazin has hinted that a fourth season is almost a necessity to fully tell the story from the two Naughty Dog video games.
In a conversation with Collider, Mazin explained that trying to conclude the narrative in just three seasons would make Season 3 excessively long. He mentioned that while Season 3 might be longer than Season 2, "there’s no way to complete this narrative in a third season."
He further added, "Hopefully, we’ll earn our keep enough to come back and finish it in a fourth. That’s the most likely outcome."
