SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble in Historic Crossover Event!

Sonic Rumble has already made waves with a special crossover event before its global launch, aptly named Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This exciting event, showcasing some of SEGA's most beloved characters, is live now and will continue until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide debut on May 8th.

Currently, Sonic Rumble is in its soft launch phase, available in over 40 countries. It had its first pre-launch phase in Summer 2024, rolling out in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. The second pre-launch expanded to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and additional regions.

What’s in Store?

If you're lucky enough to be in one of the soft-launch regions, you can jump into the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover event. Fans of Altered Beast will be thrilled to see the return of the Werewolf transformation, available completely free of charge.

Nostalgia lovers can also get their hands on the Werebear and Weredragon transformations. The Weredragon is part of the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.

Adding a touch of Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa are also part of the event. Opa-Opa comes with the Premium Pass, and Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which cost 700 standard rings each.

Super Monkey Ball fans will be delighted to see AiAi and MeeMee join the fray. To get AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. Check out the event in action below:

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

Players can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos during matches. While it may seem unusual for the event to occur before the global release, SEGA has assured fans that most pre-release rewards will return later.

This inaugural crossover event delves into SEGA's rich history, bringing together characters like monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and mythical creatures alongside Sonic and his friends, making Sonic Rumble an eagerly anticipated title.

You can download the game from the Google Play Store if you're in a soft-launch region, or mark your calendar for the global launch on May 8th.
