Shrek 5 has unveiled its all-new cast with a brand-new teaser trailer, sparking a mix of excitement and curiosity among fans, including the unexpected commentary from Movie Sonic on Shrek's new look.

In a humorous video posted on TikTok, the Sonic Movie account offered "advice for green ogres," playfully showcasing Movie Sonic's own transformation from his initially criticized live-action design to the much-improved version released later.

IGN provided the first glimpse of the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie back in 2018, which received mixed reactions due to Sonic's unusual design features, such as his teeth, physique, small eyes, and human-like fingers.

Responding to widespread criticism, director Jeff Fowler decided to overhaul the controversial design, committing to a more faithful representation of the character. The subsequent redesign was much better received by fans and critics alike.

While the reaction to Shrek's new look in Shrek 5 hasn't been as divisive as Sonic's initial live-action debut, Sonic's playful response has certainly entertained his followers.
