A Tale of Mystery and Magic: Story and Release

The narrative, revealed by writer Zaire Lanier, plunges players into the heart of Prospero, a town inspired by the diverse landscapes of the South. Following a devastating hurricane, Hazel embarks on a quest to find her missing mother, only to uncover her own magical heritage as a Weaver. This discovery thrusts her into a world teeming with fantastical creatures from Southern myths and legends.

Her journey begins with a fateful encounter with Catfish, a colossal, talking creature, who reveals Hazel's ability to manipulate the "threads" that connect all things. These threads are the key to her powers, and the means by which she will confront the Haints – corrupted creatures spreading decay across the land.

South of Midnight launches April 8th, 2025. Early access is available April 3rd, 2025, with the Premium Edition ($49.99). The standard edition is priced at $39.99, and Game Pass subscribers can play on launch day.
