Squad Busters Ends Win Streaks, Offers Exclusive Emotes
Squad Busters is gearing up for some major changes, and one of the biggest is the end of the Win Streaks feature. No more endless climbing for those extra shiny rewards. But why the change, and what's next for the game?
Why Is It Ending and When?
The decision to end Win Streaks stems from the feature's unintended effect on players. Instead of feeling like legends, many found the pressure of maintaining streaks to be more of a hassle than a fun challenge. Squad Busters will officially remove the Win Streaks feature starting December 16th. However, don't fret—your highest streak will remain on your profile as a proud legacy achievement. As a thank you for your dedication, players who reached key milestones before the cutoff date will receive exclusive emotes. These milestones include 0-9, 10, 25, 50, and 100 wins.
Now, you might be wondering about the Coins you spent on those streaks. Unfortunately, the developers have decided against refunding them. They argue that Coins are crucial for obtaining more babies from Reward Chests, and refunding them could disrupt the game's balance, particularly between free-to-play players and those who spend real money.
As expected, the community's reaction to this change is mixed. Some players are thrilled about the shift away from a pay-to-win model, while others are skeptical, especially considering the modest parting gift.
