What's in store for current players? The January 3rd update introduces a map inspired by the Season Two mini-game, Mingle. Playable avatars Geum-Ja, Yong-Sik, and rapper Thanos (not the Marvel villain!) will also debut throughout January.

Geum-Ja and Thanos unlock via special in-game events on January 3rd and 9th respectively. And watching Squid Game Season Two earns you in-game Cash and Wild Tokens! Watching up to seven episodes unlocks the Binni Binge-Watcher outfit.

Here's the January schedule for Squid Game: Unleashed:

• January 3rd: New Mingle map launches. Geum-Ja's Dalgona Mash Up Collection Event begins (until January 9th), challenging players to complete Mingle mini-games and collect Dalgona tins.
• January 9th: Thanos arrives with his Red Light Challenge recruitment event (until January 14th). Eliminate players using knives to unlock him.
• January 16th: Yong-Sik joins the roster as the final new character in this wave.
