Street Fighter 6 meta - which characters are most popular on top level

The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors set to clash at Capcom Cup XI. While the world's best players are undoubtedly exciting, let's shift our focus to their character choices, a fascinating reflection of Street Fighter 6's current meta.

Following the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most popular characters among top-tier players. This data provides a valuable snapshot of the game's balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, although from nearly two hundred players (across eight regional finalists from 24 regions), only one chose Ryu. Even the newcomer, Terry Bogard, attracted only two players.

Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each favored by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next, which includes Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (both 11), and JP and Chun-Li (both 10). Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each selected as a main by seven players.

Capcom Cup XI will take place this March in Tokyo, with a million-dollar prize awaiting the champion.
