The ID@Xbox showcase delivered a surprise: Jimbo, the mischievous maestro, announced Balatro's arrival on Xbox Game Pass, effective immediately! He also brought some new companions.

Today's trailer revealed a fresh "Friends of Jimbo" update for Balatro, brimming with new face card customizations. The trailer showcased additions inspired by Bugsnax, Civilization, Assassin's Creed, Slay the Princess, Friday the 13th, and Fallout.

Previous "Friends of Jimbo" updates featured The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Among Us, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Vampire Survivors, Stardew Valley, and more. This marks the fourth such update, all purely cosmetic – no gameplay alterations expected.

But the big news? Balatro is instantly playable on Xbox Game Pass! Previously available for purchase, this makes succumbing to its addictive card-based gameplay even easier. Jimbo would approve.
