TouchArcade Rating: Following August's Young Avengers season, Marvel Snap (Free) swings into a new season themed around everyone's favorite web-slinger: the Amazing Spider-Season! While Bonesaw remains absent (for now!), this update introduces exciting new cards and locations. Let's dive in!

This season introduces a game-changing mechanic: "Activate" abilities. Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities let you choose when to trigger a card's effect, providing strategic advantages and bypassing certain counter-strategies. The Season Pass card, Symbiote Spider-Man (4-Cost, 6-Power), boasts an Activate ability that absorbs the lowest-cost card at its location and copies its text, even retriggering "On Reveal" effects. Pairing him with Galactus promises chaotic fun. Expect this card to be adjusted if it proves overpowered.

Let's explore the other new additions:

• Silver Sable: (1-Cost, 1-Power) Her "On Reveal" ability steals two power from the top card of your opponent's deck. Effective on its own, and even more potent with specific locations and card synergies.

• Madame Web: Her Ongoing ability lets you move one card at her location to another location once per turn, adding tactical flexibility.

• Arana: (1-Cost, 1-Power) Another "Activate" card. Activating her moves the next card you play to the right and boosts its power by +2, making her a valuable asset in movement-focused decks.

• Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly): (4-Cost, 5-Power) His "Activate" ability spawns an identical clone at another location, enabling powerful multiplication strategies.

Two new locations join the fray:

• Brooklyn Bridge: A classic Spider-Man location with a unique twist – you can't play cards there on consecutive turns, demanding creative card placement.

• Otto's Lab: This location mirrors Otto Octavius's abilities. The next card you play here pulls a card from your opponent's hand onto the location, adding an element of surprise.
