There’s no denying the excitement surrounding the new Final Destination movie currently in theaters. Final Destination: Bloodlines marks the sixth installment of the iconic franchise and wouldn't be complete without the legendary Tony Todd. Known for his chilling performance as the original Candyman, Todd delivered a powerful, unscripted monologue in the film. According to producer Craig Perry, Todd’s final appearance was "very bittersweet."

In a recent interview with Deadline, Perry discussed the new film and his journey producing the entire franchise, which began in 2000. "We all knew that he was obviously quite ill," Perry shared. "And it was pretty clear that this was going to be the last role he would play in a movie, and the fact that it was one of the Final Destination movies made it that much more poignant."

Directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein took a bold approach when filming Todd’s scene, allowing him to speak directly from the heart rather than sticking to the script. Perry explained, "Our directors, they made a very shrewd decision to take the last couple of lines that were scripted and said, 'Tony, just, just say what you would want to say to the fans. What would you like to impart to them in this moment?'" The authenticity of the scene stems from Todd speaking directly to the camera, addressing the fans who have supported him throughout his career. Perry described the moment as "very magical" and "impactful," adding, "It’s one I’ll take with me until I go to the grave."
