Top Gacha Games Earning Big in January 2025 Revealed

Gacha game enthusiasts are always keen on keeping up with the financial performance of their favorite titles. The latest figures for January 2025 have just been released, and they provide an insightful look into the genre's top earners.

Genshin Impact, developed by miHoYo (now known as HoYoverse), kicked off the year with a bang. The introduction of a major update featuring the pyro archon, Mawuika, captured the community's attention and significantly boosted the game's earnings. In January 2025, Genshin Impact saw its revenue double to an impressive $99.4 million, up from $45.6 million in December 2024.

Following closely behind, Pokemon TCG secured the second spot with $64 million in earnings. The third position was taken by the popular "female gacha" game, Love and Deepspace, which generated $55.2 million.

On the other hand, Honkai Star Rail experienced a decline in earnings, bringing in $50.8 million for the month. Meanwhile, Zenless Zone Zero saw a significant drop, with its revenue halving from $57.9 million in December 2024 to $26.3 million in January 2025.

It's important to note that these rankings are based solely on mobile platform revenues. Some of these games, like those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. Additionally, a special calculation method is used for China, where Google Play is not available. Revenue estimates for Android in China are derived using a multiplier based on iOS earnings in the country.
