Torchlight: Infinite Launches Sandlord Update with Thea, $250K Prize

Following last week's teaser, Torchlight: Infinite has launched its Sandlord season update, introducing empire-building mechanics to the ARPG experience. Players can now develop their Cloud Oasis to optimize loot collection throughout this new season.

By defeating enemies in the Netherrealm, you'll accumulate resources to unlock various benefits - including professional bonuses, trade networks, and economic advantages across five distinct specializations.

The update introduces corrupted channeler Thea as a playable character, wielding devastating Desecration abilities perfect for damage-over-time combat strategies. Once again proving that villainy has its perks (dark-aligned characters do tend to get the most interesting skills, after all).

Game developers have completely redesigned the Deep Space region, introducing Probes - a new reward-boosting item. However, this comes with increased danger, as enemies now pose greater threats, demanding tactical precision from players.

The update brings Legendary Stages and the Sea of Rites location where players can hunt passive Goblins for a chance to summon hidden bosses. Additionally, the limited-time Sands of Fortune event (running through May 1st) offers new challenges with opportunities to win from a quarter-million-dollar prize pool.
