Our Town Hero: Retro RPG Lands on Android

If you enjoy era-style RPGs on handheld devices, a new game on Android might catch your attention. Introducing Our Town Hero – Cozy Retro RPG, by independent developer Solohack3r Studios. The studio has already launched six retro-inspired RPGs on mobile, such as Cult of the Dragon, Neopunk, and Suramon.

The story begins with you waking up in an inn with no recollection of the past. You find yourself in a peaceful forest town that harbors deeper troubles than its serene surface suggests. The residents quickly come to believe you are the one destined to help restore their homes and community.

The town has crumbled since an ancient vampire awoke and began kidnapping the locals. Among those taken are the bartender, the innkeeper, the shop owner—virtually everyone essential to keeping a small village functioning.

With the settlement nearly empty at the outset, your only path is to venture into the Vampire's Forest and rescue its inhabitants. This core cycle repeats as the narrative unfolds across shifting seasons.

Our Town Hero – Cozy Retro RPG revolves around the passage of time. You start in winter, when the town feels desolate and most establishments are shut. Progressing through winter, spring, summer, autumn, and a mysterious fifth season, you'll notice evolving weather, seasonal decorations, and an ever-changing ambiance.

Every villager you save alters the social dynamic. Their return unlocks chances to train skills, reopen shops, and witness the town gradually revive as the year concludes. Character creation allows you to select your hero, choose a name, and even name the town and kingdom where your journey begins.
