Ubisoft finally patched incompatibility of AC Origins and Valhalla with Windows 11

We're back with another update on Ubisoft's current state. While upper management navigates ongoing challenges, there's some positive news: a long-standing problem has finally been resolved.
Ubisoft has addressed compatibility issues between several Assassin's Creed titles and the Windows 11 24H2 update. Since fall 2024, games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, among others, experienced malfunctions on the new OS. This has been rectified with newly released patches, announced on the Steam pages for Origins and Valhalla.
Player response to the patches has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing relief and gratitude. The praise is largely due to the issue originating with Windows, not Ubisoft's game development. However, it's worth noting that recent reviews for both games remain "Mixed."
There's cautious optimism surrounding Assassin's Creed Shadows, recently delayed until March 20th. Ubisoft aims to enhance its quality before launch, recognizing its importance to the company's future.
