Castle Crashers offers 32 distinct characters that can be unlocked through various challenges or optional DLCs. Playing with friends in co-op mode is the most effective way to unlock as many characters as possible.

Note that in a co-op lobby, each player must select a unique character for the playthrough. For instance, multiple players cannot choose the Green Knight. Characters are not shared across profiles or between players in a lobby. Each player must unlock their own characters, though this can still be done in co-op.

Here’s a complete list of all characters in Castle Crashers and how to unlock them.
