The Benefits of Gold Armor

First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Gold Armor automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the constant need for armor plating. This is particularly useful for conserving resources and ensuring you always have sufficient protection against powerful enemies like Amalgams. While manual plating remains an option, the self-repair feature is a significant advantage.

Acquiring the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Locate Statue Heads: Find two statue heads located within the Dark Aether Nexus. These are hidden inside destructible wooden boxes. Melee attack the boxes to reveal them.

   One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Dark Aether Nexus (closest to the green Gateway portal). The second is easily spotted near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.

2. Repair the Statues: Take the statue heads to the Dig Site area near the starting point. Place each head on one of the two ruined Roman statues. One statue is near the Ammo Cache, and the other is closer to the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch location).

3. Survive the Blood Sacrifices: Interacting with the repaired statues initiates a Blood Sacrifice. This challenging event pits you against multiple high-value target (HVT) versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. You'll be at 1 HP during this challenge, relying solely on your armor. It's crucial to have a Tier 3 vest and plenty of armor plates beforehand. Consider using strategies like Mutant Injection (solo) or a Chopper Gunner (co-op) to make this easier.

   

4. Purchase the Vest: After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest will be available for purchase as a Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
