Civ 7 Free Napoleon Unlock Guide

Napoleon Bonaparte makes his triumphant return in Civilization 7 (Civ 7) as one of the franchise's iconic leaders. However, unlocking him requires completing a few additional steps beyond the standard gameplay.

Unlocking Napoleon as Emperor

Players can unlock Napoleon's Emperor Persona in Civilization 7 simply by creating a 2K Account. Here's how:

Visit portal.2k.com and either log in to your existing account or create a new one. Then link your 2K Account to your gaming platform through Connections → Account Overview.

Once completed, you'll gain access to Napoleon's Emperor Persona in Civ 7. This leader specializes in commerce and military strength, featuring the unique "Empereur des Francais" ability: "Grants a Unique Sanction (Continental System) that reduces trade route capacity between targeted leaders, imposes heavy diplomatic penalties, and increases rejection costs. Earn +8 Gold per Age from unfriendly/hostile leaders. Free Endeavor rejection."

Napoleon's Emperor Persona follows the Napoleonic Code agenda, favoring players with small armies while opposing those with powerful navies.

Unlocking Napoleon as Revolutionary

For players preferring a different playstyle, Napoleon's Revolutionary Persona can be unlocked by having previously played Civilization 6. After linking your 2K Account (including Civ 6 credentials) to Civ 7, the leader will become available when you launch the game.

Note: The Civ 6 and Civ 7 platforms don't need to match for this unlock.

The Revolutionary Persona transforms Napoleon into a cultural-military leader with "La Grande Armee" ability: "+1 Movement for all Land Units. Defeating enemies grants Culture equal to 50% of their Combat Strength."

This version follows the Culture from Conquest agenda - opposing leaders with numerous alliances while favoring players generating high Culture Per Turn.
