Urshifu, Gigantamax Machamp Debut in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week

As the thrilling Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO approaches its conclusion, trainers are gearing up for the climactic Final Strike: GO Battle Week, starting on May 21st, 2025, and lasting until May 27th. This final week brings the journey of your Kubfu to a rewarding culmination, allowing you to evolve this determined little bear into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication and battles, it's time to transform Kubfu into Urshifu. Depending on your battle strategy, you can unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style. To achieve the Single Strike form, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike form, follow the same process but target 30 Water-types during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.

Additionally, a Special Research task continues the seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research provides Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can experience Gigantamax Machamp's debut in six-star Max Battles. This event comes with several exciting bonuses:

• You'll need to travel only one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles.
• The cap for Max Particle storage increases to 1,600.
• All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, yielding 8× Max Particles during this window.
• You can perform two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms during this period. These items temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, although the power boost remains constant.
