Epic Battle for Westeros: Command Factions in New RTS Game

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, a thrilling real-time strategy game, was unveiled at the Summer Game Fest showcase.

Slated for a 2026 PC release on Steam, a cinematic trailer highlighted a legendary battle from the Game of Thrones series, allowing players to alter its outcome compared to the show or books.

With Tywin Lannister’s commanding voice (Charles Dance) guiding the narrative, the trailer depicts the Night King seizing Jon Snow (resembling Kit Harrington). Given Jon’s history, he’s no stranger to peril.

In War for Westeros, players lead one of four factions—House Stark, House Lannister, House Targaryen, or the Night King—building alliances or outwitting foes in strategic warfare with iconic heroes and armies.

Spanning Westeros from the Wall to King’s Landing, the game offers solo campaigns or real-time multiplayer battles.

“You’re not just watching Game of Thrones—you’re shaping its destiny,” said game director Ryan McMahon. “Whether leading the Starks, Targaryens, Lannisters, or the Night King’s undead forces, you hold the power to redefine the realm’s future.”
