Gamers have taken notice of The Blood of Dawnwalker, sparking comparisons to The Witcher 4. This project, crafted by former CD Projekt Red (CDPR) staff, showcases a clear influence in ambiance and style. Following the release of the first trailer, fans have been buzzing about which game might outshine the other. However, both the developers and their former colleagues stress that such comparisons are unwarranted. A user on X (formerly Twitter) captured the sentiment well, stating:

"Dawnwalker looks amazing, just like The Witcher 4. Both works can coexist harmoniously. One game's success doesn't doom the other. It's not a competition. Let's show respect."

Patrick K. Mills, who contributed to the missions in The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, added his voice to the discussion. He emphasized the lack of rivalry between the teams:

"Anyone who tries to compare these games is doing the devil's work. The teams have a long history together; we hang out, play games together, and our group chats are filled with praise for each team. There's nothing but love here. The culture war will remain a culture war, but these games share a common origin and common values."

Philippe Weber, the narrative director for The Witcher 4, also pointed out the similarities in the visual elements of the trailers for both games:

"Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz and I were joking today about how the eyes in the dark in our two trailers were used as references to the TV series Midnight Mass to sell the idea early on. Many of the creators of the two games are friends, and we love seeing our friends succeed!"

Rebel Wolves has set an ambitious goal—to create a new series of games that can stand toe-to-toe with established franchises. Based on the first trailer, The Blood of Dawnwalker shows promise to be as impressive as CDPR's renowned works.
