This project, crafted by former CD Projekt Red (CDPR) staff, showcases a clear influence in ambiance and style. Following the release of the first trailer, fans have been buzzing about which game might outshine the other. However, both the developers and their former colleagues stress that such comparisons are unwarranted. A user on X (formerly Twitter) captured the sentiment well, stating:

"Dawnwalker looks amazing, just like The Witcher 4. Both works can coexist harmoniously. One game's success doesn't doom the other. It's not a competition. Let's show respect."

Patrick K. Mills, who contributed to the missions in The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, added his voice to the discussion. He emphasized the lack of rivalry between the teams:
