Classic WoW Season of Discovery Phase 7 Arrives Soon

Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery Phase 7 goes live on January 28. This final phase adds the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the Scourge Invasions event. On February 6, guilds can challenge the legendary Naxxramas raid.

Phase 7 arrives just two months after Phase 6, which took players to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline and the Ahn'Qiraj raids. As players battled the Old God C'Thun in Ahn'Qiraj, many reported sightings of a mysterious Shadowy Figure throughout the desert. While some speculated this figure was Xal'atath, the primary antagonist from World of Warcraft: The War Within, the NPC only made cryptic remarks about the Old Gods during Phase 6. It remains unknown if the Shadowy Figure will make a final appearance in Phase 7.

Although Phase 7 concludes Season of Discovery, new challenges await World of Warcraft Classic players. After server maintenance on January 28, adventurers can explore the new 5-player Karazhan Crypts dungeon in Deadwind Pass, located beneath the famed Karazhan tower—later a 10-player raid in The Burning Crusade. Concurrently, the Scourge Invasions event will unleash hordes of undead across various zones and major cities in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Players can also undertake new Scourge Invasion quests at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands. Defeating undead enemies yields Necrotic Runes, which can be exchanged for new consumable items.

World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery Phase 7 Launches January 28

• Phase 7 begins on Tuesday, January 28, following scheduled server maintenance.
• This phase introduces the Scourge Invasions event, the Karazhan Crypts dungeon, and the Naxxramas raid.
• New runes will be available from Rune Brokers located in starting zones and capital cities.
• Naxxramas will feature an optional "Empower" difficulty mode for increased challenge.

Once Phase 7 is live, players can acquire new runes from Rune Brokers in starting areas and capital cities. On February 6, the Naxxramas raid opens. Similar to the Ahn'Qiraj raid, Naxxramas will offer an "Empower" difficulty option for seasoned players. After clearing the four wings of Naxxramas, raiders can proceed to the Frostwyrm Lair to confront the final bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad.

While Season of Discovery concludes with Phase 7, World of Warcraft Classic has a busy year ahead across all its versions. Future plans for Seasonal realms will be revealed in time.
