Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and revealing which games will be leaving the service. The month of January promises a diverse selection for subscribers, with both new releases and returning favorites.

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

Microsoft announced seven new games joining the Xbox Game Pass library in January 2025, via their official blog on January 7th. The lineup includes a mix of genres and access tiers:

  • Road 96: Available now (January 7th) across all Game Pass tiers (including PC). This choice-driven adventure game makes a welcome return after a previous stint on the service.
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Available January 8th (Standard subscription). This sci-fi farming sim is still in early access.
  • My Time at Sandrock: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • Rolling Hills: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • UFC 5: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only).
  • Diablo: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only).

The inclusion of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier leaks, though it's important to note their exclusivity to Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass subscribers.

New Game Pass Ultimate Perks:

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC packs for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:

As new games arrive, some must depart. Microsoft confirmed the following six titles will leave Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This initial January lineup is just the beginning. Further announcements for the latter half of the month and beyond are expected soon.
