Xbox Game Pass Reveals May 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has officially unveiled the first wave of the Xbox Game Pass lineup for May 2025, featuring a robust selection of 12 exciting games to be added throughout the month up to May 20. The highlight of this wave is undoubtedly Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in the revered first-person shooter series from id Software. As a Microsoft-owned title, it will launch directly on Game Pass on day one, accompanied by other notable day-one releases throughout May.

Starting today, May 6, subscribers can dive into Dredge, available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This single-player fishing adventure takes players on a mysterious journey filled with secrets lurking beneath the surface. Microsoft describes it as:

Dredge is a single-player fishing adventure with a sinister undercurrent. Sell your catch, upgrade your boat, and dredge the depths for long-buried secrets. Explore a mysterious archipelago and discover why some things are best left forgotten.

On May 7, Game Pass sees a significant expansion with multiple titles joining the service. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Dungeons of Hinterberg and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will be accessible on consoles with Game Pass Standard, while Metal Slug Tactics also joins the console lineup on Game Pass Standard.

May 8 brings two more day-one releases: Revenge of the Savage Planet, available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S via Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, available across Cloud, Console, and PC on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Revenge of the Savage Planet is set in a future where corporate greed has left players stranded, requiring exploration and upgrades to exact revenge. Meanwhile, TMNT: Mutants Unleashed invites players to join the iconic Turtle brothers in a new adventure filled with crime-fighting and epic storytelling.

On May 13, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 returns to the Game Pass library, available on Cloud and Console through Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard. This cooperative game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world offers intense first-person combat and new career paths.

The spotlight then shifts to Doom: The Dark Ages on May 15, a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass for Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. This prequel to the acclaimed Doom series takes players into a medieval war against Hell, promising a cinematic and action-packed experience. Microsoft teases:

The following day, May 16, sees the launch of Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass for Cloud, Console, and PC. This unique papercraft adventure game involves navigating the repetitive days of Limbo to help souls with deep regrets.

Finally, rounding out the Wave 1 lineup on May 20, Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers will be available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on Cloud, Console, and PC.
