Squares

Maximize your word count to win! Squares is a daily word puzzle game blending strategy and wordplay. Players complete squares on a grid to form words, aiming for the highest score.

How to Play: Connect letters in any direction (up, down, left, right, or diagonally) to create words. The objective is to locate all words on the grid and accumulate maximum points.

Game Rules:

• Scoring: Each letter in a word earns 1 point (e.g., a five-letter word scores 5 points).
• Word Length: Words must contain at least four letters.
• Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
• Exclusions: Hyphenated words, proper nouns, offensive language, and uncommon terms are not included in the main word list.

Bonus Words: These are less common words, including archaic terms or slang. They don't add to your score but appear in a separate bonus list. Continue searching for bonus words even after finding all main words (post-game). Each puzzle also features a "Word of the Day," a special, often longer bonus word. Finding it rewards you with two extra hints!

Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available daily at midnight.

Grid Rotation: Rotate the grid left or right (using the buttons in the bottom right corner) for a fresh perspective. Changing the view can help uncover hidden words.

Letter Hints: After discovering 40% of the words, you'll receive a hint: a number next to each letter indicating how many words begin with that letter. A missing number means no words start with that letter. An orange letter indicates it's no longer used in the main words but might appear in bonus words.

Hints System: Each puzzle offers 3-5 hints (lightbulb icon). Using a hint reveals the first letter of a random word and its search direction. The number of hints depends on puzzle difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends grants one extra hint! Good luck and happy word hunting!
