Tute

Tute stands out as one of the most beloved card games in Spain and has gained significant popularity across Latin America. This engaging game can be enjoyed by 2 to 5 players individually or by four players forming teams of two. The objective is straightforward: be the first to amass a predetermined number of points.

The game utilizes a Spanish deck consisting of forty cards. In Tute, cards are ranked from highest to lowest as follows: Ace (valued at 11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), and then 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (the latter being white cards with no point value).

Gameplay begins when the first card is played, setting the suit for that round. Players are required to follow the suit led by the first player. If unable to follow suit, a player may play any card, including trump cards. The trick is won by the highest trump card played; if no trump cards are in play, the highest card of the leading suit takes the trick.
