Batman, Spider-Man Lead 2025 Eisner Nominations

The nominations for the 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards have been announced, recognizing outstanding achievements in comic art and storytelling. Known as the comic industry's highest honor, the Eisners celebrate exceptional works published during the previous year.

Fantagraphics leads with 24 nominations (plus 1 shared), while DC Comics follows with 10 nominations (plus 9 shared). Wonder Woman scribe Tom King tops the individual creator list with 4 nominations, with several others earning 3 nods each.

Notably, former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito received a Best New Series nomination for The Pedestrian (with Sean Von Gorman), competing against major titles like Absolute Batman and The Power Fantasy.

Winners will be announced July 25 during San Diego Comic-Con at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel. Complete nominee list:
