"Brewing Coffee at Wanderstop: A Guide"
In *Wanderstop*, the serene tea shop nestled within a magical forest becomes a haven for weary travelers, curious creatures, and even a few unexpected customers. As Alta, a former fighter seeking peace and recovery, you’ll find yourself not only managing the tea shop but also adapting to the unique requests of your guests. One such request? Coffee. While it's not a standard offering, learning how to unlock and brew coffee in *Wanderstop* can open up new opportunities to connect with your customers and expand your menu.
Which Customers Want Coffee in *Wanderstop*?

During the game’s fourth cycle, a graceful, humanoid bird visits the tea shop and requests a delicate cup of tea. After Alta serves her, three sharply dressed businessmen—Jerry, Larry, and Terry—arrive, each carrying a briefcase and heading toward an important meeting. Alta quickly realizes they’re lost, but instead of leaving, they insist on staying until coffee becomes available.
Unfortunately, coffee isn’t something the forest naturally provides. Boro, the tea shop’s owner, explains that coffee has never grown in this area, and at first, it seems impossible to fulfill the businessmen’s request. However, everything changes with the arrival of Zenith, an interdimensional traveler who’s oddly fascinated by the trio of businessmen.
Unlike the businessmen, Zenith is willing to try tea. After tasting a specially made cup, they become curious about coffee and ask Alta how it’s made. This moment becomes the key to unlocking coffee in the game.
How to Unlock Coffee Beans in *Wanderstop*

To begin the process of unlocking coffee, you’ll need to prepare a unique cup of tea for Zenith. Use any valuable item—such as a book, trinket, pot, mug, or even a photograph—and place it into the tea maker before brewing. Once Zenith tastes the tea, they’ll express interest in coffee and ask what’s needed to make it.
Alta’s answer—coffee beans—sparks an idea. Zenith uses their powers to summon coffee beans to the forest through the Infinite Path, allowing them to grow in the clearing for the first time. They also leave detailed instructions on how to harvest and brew them in Alta’s Field Guide.
How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in *Wanderstop*
Once coffee beans are introduced to the environment, they’ll begin to grow wild in the clearing and respawn randomly over time. You can harvest them just like fruits and seeds, either storing them in your ingredients pocket or carrying one at a time in your hand. They can also be placed on shelves, tables, or the ground outside.
Before brewing, coffee beans must be cleaned. Place them in the dishwasher and wait for the dish trains in the tea room to clean and return them.
To brew coffee, follow these steps:
- Pour water into the tea maker.
- Heat the water (or skip this step if preferred).
- Kick the gear to pour the water into the infuser.
- Add a single coffee bean to brew—though customers may request additional beans or ingredients.
- Kick the gear again to transfer the brew to the kettle below.
- Decant the coffee into mugs for serving.
Serving coffee not only satisfies the persistent businessmen but also delights Zenith and offers new options for other customers. Even Boro is willing to give it a try, though he admits it’s not quite his cup of tea.
By unlocking and serving coffee in *Wanderstop*, you’ll enhance your tea shop’s offerings, deepen relationships with your guests, and continue Alta’s journey toward healing and connection.
