Castle Doombad is back! The tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, returns as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay on Android, courtesy of Grumpyface Studios and Yodo1.

Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single remake. However, they've split the project: Free To Slay for mobile and Castle Doombad Classic (a remastered version with updated content) for Nintendo Switch and Steam (releasing later this year). A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.

In Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, you build a wicked lair, defending against heroic do-gooders using traps and minions as your weapons. It's a free-to-play experience with ads and optional in-app purchases.

The game features 70 stages, daily challenges, endless modes, over 30 unlockable and upgradeable traps, and 100+ collectible items. An unlockable cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you customize your Dark Lord and his lair. You can also equip "Baddie Bonus" perks.
