Crashlands 2 Unveils Legend Mode and Major Updates

by Madison May 19,2025

A month after its release, Crashlands 2 has garnered positive feedback from both critics and players. Not content to rest on their laurels, developer Butterscotch Shenanigans has just rolled out a significant new update that introduces an even more challenging mode for seasoned players, along with a host of other enhancements to enrich the gameplay experience.

The new Legends Mode ramps up the difficulty, making aliens and flora more formidable, while Flux Dabes becomes even more vulnerable. On the flip side, Explorer Mode caters to those seeking a more relaxed pace, perfect for players who want to enjoy activities like fishing without the pressure of intense combat.

In response to player feedback, Butterscotch Shenanigans has reintroduced the Compendium from the original Crashlands. This feature now tracks all your discoveries and shows your progress toward achieving 100% completion.

For those who found the opening section of Crashlands 2 a bit slow, the new update addresses this concern by introducing new weapons, gadgets, and trinkets right from the start. This allows players to dive into the game's full range of experiences much earlier.

The update also includes adjustable nighttime darkness levels, expanded worldspace for building, and the addition of home teleporters, making Crashlands 2 an even more immersive and enjoyable experience.
