Crazy Games and Photon Kick Off 10-Day Global Web Multiplayer Jam 2025

by Camila May 08,2025

CrazyGames is set to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, kicking off this week from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day event is a collaboration with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, and invites indie developers worldwide to participate in a thrilling game development marathon. The focus is on crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games, and participants have the chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes along with premium Photon licenses. These include a 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500), a 500 CCU for a year (€1,500), and a 100 CCU for a year (€100).

The event's guidelines are straightforward: games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and comply with PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these requirements, developers have the freedom to unleash their creativity. CrazyGames, established in 2014 and known as a top platform for free online gaming using HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI technologies, will support participants and offer winners the chance to have their games published on its platform.

To gear up for the event, a pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn. This session will delve into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, emphasized, “Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform.”

Registration for Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all skill levels. For more details and to sign up, visit the official jam page.
