Dredge\'s mobile port delayed until next year but a closed beta test is planned for December

by Allison Feb 14,2025

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans eagerly awaiting Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, on mobile will need to wait a bit longer. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.

For the uninitiated, Dredge casts you as a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. Initially, your tasks are straightforward – fishing and selling your catch. But the tranquil fishing quickly turns unsettling, with strange creatures from the deep, mysterious beings, and unsettling events on a nearby island threatening your sanity.

Interested in participating in the closed beta? Sign up via this Google form. Despite the delay, Dredge's numerous awards and critical acclaim suggest the wait will be worthwhile for those who haven't experienced this unique blend of horror and fishing.

A Challenging Port

Having played the PC version, the delay isn't surprising. Adapting such a vast and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback before the official launch.
