Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage Goes Silent: Bandai Namco Confirms End of Service

Bandai Namco's fortress strategy action RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down on December 9th, 2024, ending a nearly seven-year run. This isn't unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.

Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage Shutdown Date:

The game's final curtain call is December 9th, 2024. Players can continue enjoying the game until then, with several upcoming events planned:

  • Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
  • All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
  • 'Thanks For Everything' Campaign: November 1st - December 1st

Players can still collect Ninja Cards, participate in summons, and utilize in-game items until the shutdown. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins before the game closes.

Reasons for the Shutdown:

While initially successful with its balanced village-building, trap-setting, and defense mechanics, the game's trajectory shifted. The introduction of Minato Namikaze seemingly initiated a period of power creep, alienating many players. This was compounded by increasingly overt pay-to-win mechanics, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the decline of multiplayer features. These factors ultimately led to the game's decline and eventual closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to try it.
