This guide helps you befriend the enigmatic Dwarf in Stardew Valley. This reclusive miner, residing deep within the mines, communicates in Dwarvish, requiring a unique approach to friendship.

Meeting the Dwarf

Locate a large boulder to the right of the mine entrance on the first floor. Destroy it (using a copper pickaxe or bomb) to reveal the Dwarf's shop.

Learning Dwarvish

The Dwarf doesn't speak common tongue. To understand him, you must donate all four Dwarf Scrolls to the Museum. Gunther will then reward you with a Dwarvish translation guide.

Now, you can communicate and build a friendship. You can also purchase items from his shop.

Gift Guide

Gifts are crucial for befriending the Dwarf. He accepts two gifts weekly. Gifts given on his birthday (Summer 22nd) grant eight times the usual friendship points.

Movie Theater Interactions

Once unlocked, the Movie Theater offers another way to interact. The Dwarf loves all movie selections. For snacks, he loves Stardrop Sorbet and Rock Candy, and likes Cotton Candy, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jawbreaker, Salmon Burger, Sour Slimes, and Star Cookie. Other snacks are disliked.
