Weekly Challenges: New Mode in The Battle of Polytopia

The Battle of Polytopia has introduced an exciting new feature with the launch of Weekly Challenges, providing players with a fresh way to test their skills in this engaging 4X strategy game. Let's delve into what this new mode entails and how it can elevate your gaming experience.
It Was Random Before
Previously, the randomness in The Battle of Polytopia, from its diverse enemies, resources, and maps, kept players on their toes with unpredictable gameplay. However, the latest free update introduces a more structured competitive environment.
Every week, players are presented with the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? Achieve the highest possible score within 20 turns. You get one attempt per day, totaling up to seven tries per week. This feature allows you to experiment with tribes you might not have unlocked yet. With 16 tribes available—four in the base game and twelve more for purchase at $1-4 each—Weekly Challenges level the playing field, letting everyone compete with the same tribe, regardless of ownership.
Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely, the Weekly Challenges are poised to inject a new level of excitement into The Battle of Polytopia. Additionally, the update introduces a League system where everyone starts in the Entry League. Your performance each week determines your movement up or down the ranks: the top third of players advance, the bottom third drop, and those in the middle maintain their position.
As you progress, the difficulty scales accordingly. Starting with Easy AI in the Entry League, you'll face increasingly challenging opponents, culminating in Crazy difficulty bots at the Gold level. Missing a week won't lead to demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on the performance of other players.
