Wolcen Reveals Pantheon: Diablo Meets Tarkov

Wolcen Studio has announced Project Pantheon, a free-to-play action RPG that incorporates extraction shooter elements. The first closed alpha test will launch in Europe on January 25, followed by North America on February 1.

"We’ve merged the tense risk-reward mechanics of an extraction shooter with combat RPG dynamics," explained game director Andrei Cirkulete. "It draws inspiration from titles like Diablo and Escape from Tarkov. We’re excited to hear player feedback." Set in a fractured world, players take on the role of a messenger of Death, striving to restore balance.

Players will face AI enemies and other players across various maps. Evacuate successfully to secure your rewards; fail, and you lose all collected loot.

Project Pantheon lets you build and upgrade your own base, customize gear, and experiment with different playstyles. Its world draws from global mythologies, and player trading fuels the in-game economy.

Adventures begin in "Destiny's Edge," a realm inspired by Norse legends. Though still in early alpha, the development team plans to work closely with the community to refine the game.
