This casual game app is perfect for one or two players! Play this brain-teaser with a friend on a single smartphone. The core mechanics are based on rock-paper-scissors, with the added challenge of chess-like King capture! Even shogi novices can easily pick up and enjoy this game. It's fun for school friends, colleagues, and anyone looking for a quick and engaging pastime.
Basic Rules:
The game uses rock-paper-scissors pieces to defeat the opponent's King. Each piece has unique movement capabilities (indicated by arrows). If your King is captured, you lose! The King can move one square in any direction.
Piece Descriptions:
-
Four piece types exist: Rock (defeats Scissors), Scissors (defeats Paper), Paper (defeats Rock), and King (can attack all pieces).
-
Once a piece attacks, it cannot attack again until it's attacked. Captured pieces can be placed on vacant spaces. When a piece is attacked, it becomes the opponent's piece.
-
Attacking the same type of piece results in a draw. Draws allow you to place a piece on top of the opponent's piece, effectively sealing it (unless the opponent can attack that piece).
-
Reaching the opposite side of the board upgrades a piece. (The King can still only move one square in any direction.)
There's a single-player mode to hone your skills. Approximately 20 stages await! Can you conquer them all?
This free, ultimate time-killer is perfect for relieving stress and enjoying some friendly rock-paper-scissors shogi competition. Recommended for fans of board games, Othello, and chess!
