"HC And - When mother or father has cancer" is a specialized resource developed through a collaborative effort between the Oncology Department at R, H.C. Andersen Children and Youth Hospital, Odense University Hospital, and input from hospitalized children, their families, and 10:30 Visual Communication.

Designed for children aged 4-7 years, HC And serves as patient information to prepare and alleviate anxiety in young children who may be unfamiliar with many hospital terms. This tool introduces the youngest children, their families, and friends to the general cancer patient course at the hospital. The content is delivered through a child's voice and engaging animations, utilizing the "Learning through play with tablet/mobile phone/touch screen" genre.

Children in this age group learn best through play and concrete information. As relatives of cancer patients, they can quickly become overwhelmed with information. To address this, HC And is structured into short, manageable sequences tailored to a child's perspective, making it an ideal starting point for "newbies."
