The Chess Tempo app offers a comprehensive suite of tools designed to enhance your chess skills through a mobile and tablet-friendly interface. Here's a detailed look at the features currently supported:

CHESS TACTICS TRAINING

Elevate your chess tactics with an extensive library of over 100,000 puzzles. The app includes both winning and defensive problem types to give you a well-rounded training experience. Premium members can take advantage of sophisticated custom sets that are tailored to your specific weaknesses, such as:

• Sets focused on particular tactical motifs like pins, forks, and discovered attacks.
• Sets that target your past mistakes, allowing you to practice until you get them right.
• Spaced repetition learning algorithm sets, prioritizing problems you frequently miss over those you've mastered.

Please note that while custom sets can be used within the app, they must be created on the Chesstempo.com website first.

PLAY ONLINE

Engage in competitive play against other Chesstempo users, with support for both live and correspondence chess games. After every rated game, benefit from a comprehensive post-game analysis powered by our cluster of hundreds of Stockfish instances, delivering high-quality results in just seconds. Premium members can have tactics problems extracted from their rated games, available for solving within the tactics training UI, and accessible through the advanced custom sets feature.

OPENING TRAINING

Develop your opening strategies with the ability to create multiple black and white repertoires. You can import repertoires from PGN files or by manually entering moves on the board. Utilize spaced repetition to train your repertoires, and customize your training by focusing on a specific branch, a single repertoire, or all repertoires of a particular color. You can also:

• Limit training to a specific depth.
• Focus on moves that are resistant to spaced repetition learning.
• Add comments to positions or moves, and view comments made public by other users.
• Include engine evaluations or annotations for each move in your repertoire.
• Export your repertoire along with comments and annotations to PGN format.
• View graphs that illustrate your repertoire learning status and history over time.
• Use the opening explorer to select moves for your repertoire (free members are limited to a depth of 10 moves).

Premium members have the added benefit of using our cloud engine for in-depth analysis of any position.

ENDGAME TRAINING

Sharpen your endgame skills with practice positions ranging from 3 to 7 pieces, extracted from real games. With over 14,000 different positions available, free members can access 2 positions per day. Premium members enjoy:

• Access to more positions daily.
• Custom sets that focus on particular endgame types, those you frequently get wrong, or utilize spaced repetition for effective training. Note that some custom set types must be created on the Chesstempo website before use on the app.

GUESS THE MOVE

Improve your gameplay by studying master games and receiving a score based on how closely you match the master's moves.

ANALYSIS BOARD

Conduct deep analysis of chess positions using our cloud engines, available exclusively to premium members. This feature allows you to run high-quality analysis without draining your device's battery. Diamond members can request up to 8 analysis threads, significantly increasing the number of positions analyzed per second compared to a standard device-based engine. Additionally, you can:

• Set up positions using FEN notation or by manually arranging pieces on the board.
• Analyze tactics problems post-completion to gain a deeper understanding of the solutions.
