ArtClash - Paint Draw & Sketch

Unleash your creativity with ArtClash, the innovative platform designed to encourage daily drawing, sketching, and cartooning. Unlike Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter, ArtClash is a unique space where artists can practice and share their work in a fun, competitive environment.

Currently in early access, ArtClash is a work in progress, with the first game already complete and more exciting features on the horizon. Created as a personal project to help my wife and me practice daily, ArtClash is now open to everyone who wants to hone their artistic skills.

Current Features:

• Paint: Sketch, paint, and blend to create your masterpieces.
• Import Images: Use images as references or paint over them to enhance your work.
• Topics and Constraints: Choose from a variety of topics and optional constraints like time limits, color limits, or canvas sizes. Earn points when others correctly guess your drawing!
• Difficulty Levels: Six levels of difficulty for topics, ranging from single words to combinations of up to five different words (nouns, verbs, places, timer periods).
• Free Draw: Create anything you want and share it with the community.
• NSFW Flag: Option to view or avoid images marked as NSFW.

Early Access Issues/Bugs:

• Ugly UI: The current Unity UI is challenging, but we plan to replace it with XAML for a better, more responsive interface.
• Performance on Large Canvases: Keep canvases under 1024x1024 on lower-end devices. The GPU-accelerated brush engine slows down with large canvases and small brushes. We're testing other engines to improve performance.

Upcoming Features:

• More games, starting with a "telephone" game using drawings.
• Enhanced social features, including avatar changes, comments on projects, friending, and following other users.
• Improved UI and a faster brush engine to address current issues.
• Marquee selection and transform tools for more precise editing.
• A wider variety of brushes, with the ability for users to add and share their own.
• An advanced layer system with features like locking transparent pixels and masking.
• A developer communication system for feature requests, bug reports, and community voting on future updates.
• Moderators to manage flagged content and other issues.
• User-submitted topics and constraints, moderated before being added to the list.
• Future plans for full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping.

While ArtClash is not yet a full image editing suite due to performance issues with large textures and the absence of some editing features, it is currently optimized for social competition and encouragement. Join us on this exciting journey and start practicing your art every day with ArtClash!
